und google macht auch gute sachen: der neuste streich der kalifornier ist die kooperation mit dem us-amerikanischen nationalarchiv. dabei ermöglicht google den zugriff auf historisches filmmaterial, von wochenschauen aus der zeit des 2. weltkriegs über apollo-missionen bis hin zu filmmaterial aus dem 19. jahrhundert. na wenn das google-video mal nicht pusht…
die andere nachricht zum thema ‘frei verfügbare filme’ betrifft den sci-fi klassiker metropolis von fritz lang. der steht nähmlich auf public domain torrents zum download
bereit. außerdem gibt’s da noch andere klassiker wie ‘nosferatu’ oder ‘plan 9 from outer space’.
