It is time to celebrate a “discoversary”: the netlabel 12rec has released a versatile compilation. For those of you who do not know the label yet it is a good opportunity to get an insight into the diverse range of artists on 12rec.

With the claim “So Much Achieved. So Much Left To Do.” Sven Swift presents us almost 70 minutes of excellent experimental music.

The solemn-melancholic photos for the artwork were taken by Stéphane Obadia aka Rob Steady who belongs to my favorite 12rec-artists.

So check the compilation on 12rec or download it (256kbit mp3 – 150mb) directly, you can also buy the physical cd.

heute gibt es einen wahren akademischen leckerbissen für den geneigten hörer: die khm in köln hat in ansprechender form die berühmten bochumer vorlesungen des medienphilosophen vilém flusser aufbereitet.
für mich als student der medienwissenschaft auf jeden fall eine pflicht-empfehlung!

... dann weiß ich haargenau was ich machen werde: ccmixter ist eine plattform für creative commons samples, die zum remixen einlädt. noch habe ich das angebot nicht unter die Lupe genommen, aber es verspricht interessante neue inputs!

ach ja und außerdem ‘wenn-ich-mal-wieder-zeit-habe’ wird auch das neue, seit etwa zwei jahren angekündigte raflesia-album samt neuer homepage fertig gemacht, versprochen!
